Week #26

Here we go again! I finally shopped for some toys and things with the money given for the classroom
from our generous parents.  It sure is fun surprising our students with new toys at school!
The children constructed a robot this week with shapes for the letter Rr and then named their new friend
before taking them home.  I enjoyed hearing all the names they came up with. We also learned a little about Presidents, especially Abraham Lincoln.  Each child got a penny to take home to tell you his picture is
on every penny. In case they forgot to tell you, please ask them to see if they remember his name and any other information they might of learned about Honest Abe during his time here in Indiana and Kentucky.
It is amazing and sometimes funny to hear them tell it back to you.
Well, hope to see a lot of you at the cookie decorating fundraiser tonight.
See you there!

Week #25.

We accomplished so much this past week and what fun we had!
We also learned to play games on the new classroom tablet that was a gift this past Christmas from you
wonderful parents. I also purchased a Blu-ray movie, called The Ant Bully which is about bullying. We plan to view that some rainy day. I hear it is an awesome way to learn about treating others with kindness.
We practiced our cutting skills with hearts that we cut to make a mobile to decorate our room and hall for our Valentine's party. We decorated bags for all our sweet valentines from our friends then glued on our Jesus Loves Me Bear that we painted with our paint dabbers. We worked on large floor puzzles and
played with our friends in the different centers.
Now lets talk about the party! It was wild! We had the best time! We filled our V-bags with valentines, ate yummy treats and drinks, played candy heart bingo, (sorry Thur.class, no time but will soon) Heard a story about a Valentine Man, and played a fun game called, A Tisket, A Tasket a Pretty Little Basket. Boy could those children run!
Now stroll down below and see for yourself all the fun we had at school!
