Lots of excitement this week with painting and balloon activities. I felt my ears burning this week which means I feel the students shared a lot of their experiences this week with their love ones. It is very rewarding to see and hear how much the students are progressing. Some things you may not be aware of is that they are learning to spell words and match them to a group of words that start with the same letter and sound. We also count the syllables within each word. The children are learning how to move in various ways during the time we spend exercising and how to warm up and warm down with deep breaths (1) holding the breath (2) and blowing it out (3). We also do a lot of stretching exercises. They all participate with no encouragement needed which tells me they enjoy our minutes of strengthening our bodies and minds. Also, I can not go without saying that I have seen a big improvement with the student's handwriting. I feel the mailbox has helped a lot in this area of learning and I credit the help they are receiving from home.
Together lets keep this excitement for learning strong!

Fun Friday!!!!!
It was a blast! We played with chains, Legos and games for reviewing the colors. We learned to read color words and how to do a Listen and Do activity work page on rhyming words to go with the color words. We listened to a silly story on our books on tape and participated to a song about a clown with many colored hats. We practice our writing skills on a white board when writing our favorite color word too. Our snack was Rainbow Fish used for sorting and counting and lemonade or water. It was an awesome day!

Love to see all the fun ways the kids are learning. As a teacher, I think it is great to see all the hands-on activities. We are lucky to have such great teachers teaching Kendall!
