This week was all about the letter Ee and the fall season. We learned to write the letter and locate the letter in words. We learned the sounds it makes and sang and danced to a fun song, "I Pull My EARS." We made colorful trees and leaves for the hall boards and saved some room for some scarecrows and bats. All together it makes for one beautiful fall scene. Be sure to watch it progress in our weeks to come at drop off time.
Free art time is so beneficial as you can see. My friend made this all on her own for her loving family.
Look out boys! The girls know how to use the tools too!

I got a feeling that if you ask your child what they did today that the first thing they will tell you is they dressed up. Yes, we did because we know that Halloween comes at the end of the month. and it is a fun time to pretend we are something we want to be which was only one small part of what we accomplished today. The whole day was about the Fall Season. We played with leaves, turkeys. Talked about fun thing to do in the fall like: hayrides, apples and pumpkin picking and good things we eat in the fall like pumpkin pie, turkey, and rice crispy treats (which we had for snack today). We also talked about how the weather changes and what we need to wear to stay warm. We also played with the parachute to see leaves falling and turkeys fly. The day was not over until we talked and worked on a cut and glue work page about the life cycle of a big round and orange pumpkin and constructed a beautiful apple sun catcher to take home. Our story was about a Scarecrow and a Spider who became friends and how they discovered that God sends us friends to show us His face. I hope my friends share all the fun things we did today with you. Enjoy the fun pictures!
Eli wasted no time to slip inside a happy pumpkin costume

Below are pictures of something I am super excited about!
Abby Rushau's mother (Melissa) from the Monday morning class, spoke with the class on the art of quilting. The children helped to pick the quilt squares and place them on the quilt top. From there, Melissa will do her magic to construct it into a soft and cuddly keepsake with every one's signature on the back. This master piece will be auctioned off at the Fall Festival here at Shiloh Methodist at the end of the month. What a treasure this will be for one lucky individual!
Please enlarge photo and get a closer look!
