Bye to September! Hello October

I am back from the conferences refreshed and ready to go!  I am looking forward to our busy new month talking about fall, dinosaurs, and Halloween! The children are showing me how smart they are each and every day and they are quick to settle into the routine of their day. Thank you for reading the newsletter and checking into the blog. You should be so proud of your child. I know I am!

New books are always special. Especially when they are dinosaur books!

Kennedy and Preston at Library time.

Pointing and following along to the Letter Sound song. Yes, we are learning the sounds the letters make.

The large chalkboard is priceless for young children. I just love having it in my classroom!

Every name has a letter that leads all the other letters in our names. This skill helps our friends find their names.

Wally, our class pet, entertained the students while his cage was being cleaned. They could hear the giggles down the hall.

Exercise time for Wally!

When all our friends arrive, we walk around the table singing, The Wheels on the Bus! Wonderful way to start our day!

Week #5

Another great week!
Cookie Monster paid a visit and we made adorable caterpillars. The children really came up with some cool names for their new friend, the caterpillar and the craft helped them practice counting one to one correspondence by counting to six for completing the project. The children beat me in the momory box game so they won the opportunity to do the happy dance. It is such a joy to see them have fun while learning. Sorry for no captions under the pics. I am out Thursday and Friday for a St. Louis conference. I promise to add some on next week's pics! Enjoy the photos!!!!!!!!!!!!
